| Appraiser Comments: | Your satin box-top purse screams, "Forties". It is an example of sophisticated style of the time, and would look great with a padded shoulder dress and ankle-strap shoes. It must have been very well cared-for, as the brass trim and enbroidery appear to be intact and not even discolored. The mirror in the top was a popular feature for handbags of the time. Some also came with matching change purses. It seems the only detraction is the light soil on the top. It would have to be cleaned by hand. |
