Using Search Features
There are 3 different ways you can search through the database.
- Search by Keyword(s)- Entering a keyword or multiple keywords, separated by a space, searches through the titles of appraisals and displays any exact matches. To perform this search simply enter your keyword(s) into the fields and click the 'Search' button
- Search by Keyword(s) within a Category- This is the most specific search. Enter the keyword(s) and then choose the category you would like to search within. This will bring up any appraisals within that category having your keyword(s) in the appraisal title.
- Search by Category-This is the best way to get the most returns from the database. Choose the category you are interested in and click "Search'. This will bring up all of the items that have been appraised in this category.
Keyword Search Hints: Since the keyword search is based on the title of the item, and the title of the item has been input by the appraisal customer, it may not always contain exact matches. For example if a customer submits ta nice old Victorian Sideboard they may title it "Grandpa's Dresser" So a keyword search using the word "Victorian" or "Sideboard" will not bring up this result. However a search for "Dresser" will indeed display this result.
The database is not case sensitive. You can search using lower case text, upper case or a combination of both.
